Funny Cats!! 4/22/2007 Farewell to a FatherToday while I was busy doing something in the kitchen I heard a song coming from the TV which reminded me of my dad. My dad was always singing and, although he wasn't a religious person, he used to enjoying singing along to the hymns on 'Songs of Praise' every Sunday.
All my family were at his bedside when he died, not knowing what to expect, but there so we didn't miss one minute of the life he had left. Looking back now, some 8 years later, I still remember the minute he died. The sorrow I felt at losing him and also the relief I felt when his pain ended.
If you are going through something similar I sympathise with you and hope, in time, like me, you will remember the one you have lost with happiness and love.
